Words of wisdom from books in my library (1)

My library includes many inspiring books on various philosophies and religions. I started reading them again. I wanted to share some quotes from these books.

“Humankind needs a spiritual awareness more than ever to balance this explosion of technology and communication. We need a feeling for the nobility and responsibility of human being, as we need an awareness of the unity of all life, or we will succumb to unconscious forces that will drag us down. Perhaps more than ever before, we need a way to activate and develop our latent humanness to balance the forces that challenge it — the unprecedented means of satisfying our desires and the prevailing ignorance about the meaning and purpose of life.” — Kabir Helminski [1]

“Life is not just this bioenergetics vitality, but a spiritual vitality that is eternal, and we are that. This life span that we know on earth is said to be one chapter in the story of Life. This eternal Life reflects through us.” — Kabir Helminski [1]

“For many years I thought I was ‘in the Work’ to make ‘me’ a conscious person, as if it were an achievement. Only slowly and painfully did I begin to learn that the real Work is to serve, to pay attention to how other human beings can be helped towards freedom and love by being an example of those qualities without expectation of any recognition or reward.” — Kabir Helminski [1]
